THIS PRIOR TO DEPARTURE CONSULTANCY PACKAGE GIVES MANAGEMENT ALL NECESSARY TOOLS TO OPERATE A VESSEL IN HIGH-RISK AREAS
Background
This package gives management all tools to operate a vessel in a high risk area. Prepared and executed by highly skilled and experienced maritime security consultants. Our consultants all have a NATO naval background on a senior officer level. The package consists of risk classification and risk mitigation. The result is a management summary with clear findings and operational recommendations.

Risk Classification Consultancy
Depending on pre-defined parameters we classify each passage risk as LOW, MEDIUM, HIGH or EXTREME. This classification will be performed along a vulnerability and threat assessment matrix. The vessel vulnerability assessment covers topics like: Design & Architecture, Physical (structural) security, Proce-dural security, Command & control, Communication, Training and Experience. The threat assessment addresses topics like Intentions, Capabilities and Opportunities.

Risk Mitigation Consultancy
Based upon the results of the risk classification process MSS Defence will make recommendations for risk mitigation. This can be one or a selection of the following actions:
